The total area of these halls including additional premises is around 52,029 square meters. The factory has its own railway that is connected with the main railway.
Production Output
The Subsidiary is unique factory of this type in Kosovo, for both the capacity as well as the assortment. The production capacity of the spirally welded manufacturing plant at out-start in 1972 was 60,000 tons/annum of welded steel pipes.
In 1980 it achieved production of 70,000 tonnes.

STEEL WELDED PIPES AND SHAPES

IMK – Factory for production of Steel welded pipes and shapes in Ferizaj- Kosovo is the biggest factory for the production of steel pipes and shapes in Southeastern Europe.
Since 1972 when it was established until now days the factory has produced pipes for different systems including gas lines, waterlines, fuel-lines all around the world, more than 12,000km of pipes.
Production of pipes with the dimensions starting from 114mm – 2020mm allows us to be present on every geographical area in the field of pipes.
The quality of our products is tested based on all international standards as such: API, DIN, ASTM, BS, ISO, EN, NF, UNI etc.
IMK - The steel pipe factory comprises of three production halls and an administrative building, located on approximately 28 hectares of land in Ferizaj, Kosovo.
One hall contains the production of the spirally welded pipes, the second one the production of longitudinal welded pipes and the third one the machines for coating the pipes.

The actual average production output by decade was set forth below:
In 1970s = 60000 tons/annum
In 1980s = 70000 tons/annum
In 1990s = 85000 to 100000 tons/annum

The design capacity of the longitudinally welded manufacturing plant at out-start in 1981
was 150,000 tons/annum.

The Market

Prior to the war, the Enterprise was a successful exporter to Turkey, to former Socialist
Soviet Republics, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, USA , Albania and Former Yugoslav
Republics.
